PS : May I put in a special request? I'd like to see Laney facing the camera, sun highlighting her wind-blown hair from behind (put a fan behind her! ) Would prefer a blurred background, with some flowers in the foreground.

Looks good to me! Great light, good DOF, the background is well blurred, but still obvious that she is outside, not in front of a backdrop. And of course, the fact that she is adorable helps. :-)
The tiniest of nitpicks jumps out at me. The tip of her finger at the top of the ball would be better off not seen, in my humble opinion. Great shot, regardless!
