Reala is a beautifully sharp and detailed film isn't it. An excellent film for portraits is Fuji's NPC 160 and NPH 400 - lovely, not cheap but nice soft contrast and great skin tones, also Kodak Portra NC is good too in either 160 or 400 ISO. Give Kodak portra BW a try. It is a CC41 process bw film. It is 400 ISO but is silky smooth and has the grain structure of ISO 100. Your lab will probably print it on colour papers but I pop it under the enlarger and can do true bw's with it too.

Thanks again for the kind comment Amanda. Its funny as I learnt everything I know about photography with digital cameras. Up until 6-9 months ago (apart from cheap throwaway cams) I had never used a film camera. Since I bought my 10D 1 bought a 1000fn and then an Elan II as a backup. Now I've just bought the Eos 1nm and I am enjoying film more and more :) Reala is really a lovely colour film for portraits.
Thanks again
Howie
