I actually like the horizon in this shot; even though it isn't quite level, A) it melds into the sky well enough that this aspect isn't very jarring, and B) the way it's angled makes it feel like another element pushing against the tree, which strengthens the feeling of the solitary figure standing firm against the elements. The way the angles of the tree, fence and horizon merge, it really feels like the tree isn't just leaning out, but leaning *against* the rest of the frame, as if bracing itself. (Guess I did have a bit more to say than, "Nice picture.")

Thanks for the comment Jon, I don't always offer criticism either. I am not happy with the horizon on this one. Georgian Bay has such an irregular shoreline, I find it hard to get it level!!!!!!

This is an amazing photograph; I haven't a clue as to how it could be improved. I know this isn't especially helpful as far as constructive criticism, but this is just a truly excellent picture.

Well, I'm not so sure I don't like the color one better, but this is such a powerful, great image you could do anything to it without ruining it. It symbolizes all our fears and insecurities, all our courage and determination. It's impossible not to respond to this.

Richard, I wanted to wait and let Maria see this first, but I can't stand it. I have to comment lol.. I love this. This little isolated tree in the middle of nowhere, standing tough against the elements. Frail, yet strong enough to give when the need arises. Like so many people I know. It has a personality of it's own. Great shot.
