Ok. Here is the rest of the picture. We had a ?naturalization party? for our friend Rob from New Zealand. He just became US citizen and the party host asked for ?red white and blue? themed foods. My wife always wanted to make this flag cake ? here was the perfect opportunity. The original recipe asked for raspberries, but they were not in season. Strawberries were a good replacement. Details about the pounds of butter, cream cheese, and sugar at http://www.usefilm.com/image/563049.html
While it was supposed to be a contemporary flag, for some reason, there were only 36 stars on the cake. This would make it an 1861 end-of civil war flag according to http://www.umkc.edu/imc/flagday.htm :-)
