Hi Nitish,
Thanks for your comments on me. It was dizzling when I took the picture. It is a full frame picture and did not noticed the end of stick when taken. Will keep in mind in future. Rgds.

Wonderful capture. The sheep in the foreground draw the eyes into the photograph. The horizontal line of sheep divides the image where one sees the texture of the sheep's wool - finally bringing us to the shepherd - who is the only once concerned with what is happening :) One tiny suggestion - how about keeping the end of his stick inside the image? Overall it is a very impressive image, Bikas.

Hello Hugo,
Thanks for your nice comment and analisys. I had to take this photo at f:4.0 and maintained a shutter speed at 1/250s using a 80~200 lens. Very tough on incleament weather.
Regards,
Bikas

Hi Bikas, Excellent composition, and a very strong image. I think the DOF is a bit too shallow, but that's if I consider it to be a journalistic image. As a reportive shot, I think it should show everything. On the other hand, the shallow DOF makes the viewer focus more on the herdsman, adding more tension to this shot. Intriguing image, but well captured, and I think the conversion to B&W is a very sound choice, as it emphasises the atmosphere.

Cheers,

Hugo

Excellent bw composition...like the choice of bw in this one, wonderful tones and lovely DoF...the out-of-focus sheep in the f/g give lots of depth to the image.
