Well deserved recognition for a superb shot - the shadow image takes the athletic pose and converts it to a pure aesthetic, representing the meditative frame of mind; meanwhile thr rocky backdrop provides a natural reality and context.

Cool! Good to see the actual pose; something I thought about, but not seriously considered. The shadow removes the reference to up and down... A well deserved BIP.

Hi David, this shot has some very, very strong tension in it. The shadow creates probably more impact than the actual scene, as it leaves more to the viewers imagination. Notwithstanding that this sure is a class act. Not only photographically, but also buy the guy who created the shadow.... Awesome shot!
