Hi John,
I see so many beautiful new additions in your portfolio! Wow... you didn't sit still with your camera (like I did). What I like the most about this picture is the beautiful soft background with the leaves. YES, the bird is beautiful too, but the background adds so much to his beauty! This one goes into my favorites right now.
greetings,
Diana.

Hi My Friend, No this was hand held!
I was close by and just stood completely still and waited for the bird to land, didn't have long to shoot!
Thanks for asking!
Take care!...........JOHN

Excellent composition John, especially noteworthy is the background you've achieved with just right DOF to capture just the right amount of detail...love the white blossoms and branches visable. And of course the subject on the diagonal branch is great.

Strange, isn't it, John, I don't think I'd walk anywhere if I could fly!! Wow! Wouldn't that be cool?!
Nice shot of this 'chicadee'!
Best regards, Chris
P.S. Thank you for your continuing prayers for 'R" ~ much appreciated!

Great shot, John, I know exactly what you mean about the decisive moment! I was trying to get on yesterday and they just wouldn't stay still long enough.

Good capture John, nice and sharp. I like the diagonal, makes it more interesting. The backround is great too, just enough out of focus not to distract. Good work and as always I appreciated your kind comments on my recent pics.

I love Black Capped Chicadees. I can stand next to my bird feeder and they will fly right up, chirp at me, feed and then fly away. Great photo. As always.
