Hi Hugo,
You're right about the fuzziness .. thing is my cam came back from reparation with settings reset .. and i know that in the beginning, one year ago, i made some settings about in-camera sharpness and contrast, but i don't remember which .. so last week i made some tests again, and ended up with sharpness +1 and contrast +1. This should again deliver the images in a crisper state as before ;-)
Thanks for your to-the-point critique !

Hi Peter, I like the angle and what the DOF does to the web and the treads, as well as to the background. Good tones. The side view on the spider as well as the composition are ery good; I miss some sharpness in the spider, though. Partially this is a DOF thing, but there also seems to be some fuzziness.
I'll have a go at a spider later today, but as there have been quite a few spiders shots on UF recently, I think it's not an easy task to create a photo of a spider that stands out amongst the others; they are all pretty much alike, and so will mine be.
CHeers,
Hugo

Peter Nicely done, good POV and great DOF. colors are great and good detail on the spider for the minimum DOF you had to work with. Great job jimc
