Thanks Arwa - f8 would have done it but would have required flash - I didn't want to destroy the quality of the window light but I do agree with you re the hand - it looks stranger cropped so I left it!!

so sweeet!!! beautiful eyes! Nice selective focusing even tho the arm looks strange as if it doesn't belong in the image? Maybe a lower aperture would have worked better something around f/8? still a good image 7/7

thankyou Paul - no - I positioned her in front of a south facing window (the equivalent of a northern hemisphere's north light. The catchlights in her eyes are the window with my silohuette in the middle which you can make out when you zoom in. Otherwise it does look like flash catchlights.

Great expression and beautiful eyes. The wide open aperture works really well for the depth in this shot. Just wondering if you used a flash? Paul
