Good morning Kay, Thanks for the wonderful comments. I'm usually up before the sun rises in order to fight the traffic to get to work. I try to keep my point and shoot camera with me just in case. Like this morning I got up and there were 5 new roses blooming. I knew if I waited until I got home they would not be the same.

I think the bud adds to the image, as the lighting makes it shine and it has a great shape, it is in contrast to the vivid pink. I like the way there are so many greens incorporated in this, particularly the folded down ones of the rose, they look so silky, excellent
