So peaceful Chris. I like the lighting and the balance of the tree in top right corner. This has cured my withdrawal symptoms. Is that a "Sold" sign in the distance? Bet that place didn't stay on the market long. Den

Hi Merete, Thanks for your comment. No problem with your English ~ it really is very good! To be honest, I don't take very many portraits so I don't really feel qualified to comment on the film / digital issue. I've been very happy with my wedding shots, (that, strangely enough, DO have a lot of people in! ;-)), but apart from those I've got nothing much to go on. Sorry to hear about your dog! Sounds like it's going to need a bit of tender loving care for a few days. Have an excellent Wednesday! Chris

Great shot... LIke the shadow of the big tree on the houses... the line of the houses... the clear (almost) blue sky!! Just wonderfull.. I 'feel' the athmosphere here...just great! Someone has told me..that making digital photos is to loose some depth in the picture...I think I understand that, but...on the other hand we just have to make different photos. I mean...we just have to make the photos that's possible when using the digital camera. I think..that using it for macros...and sceneries like this..and even landscapes are possible, but I do see that it's difficult with portraits etc. Why??? Don't know...it just is...somehow! Did you get this??? LOL...if not...then I'll try again, with the 100 words that's available for me...in English!! ;-) I just took my dog to the dog-hospital...for having a surgery!!!! :-( It was soooooooooo sad....but now I'm looking forward to go and get her this afternoon...
Hugs Merete

Very nice, Chris! Colours on both cottage and sky are great, and I like the texture and detail you captured in the stonework. All in all a brilliant image. Dave.

Chris, I feel as if I could almost walk into the photo! Wonderful shot. I was pleased to see you left the speed limit sign in the photo this time - it gives me a sense of home! Your photos make me homesick! Warm greetings from Venezuela, Patrick

Mmm, so peaceful and idyllic. Those beautiful buildings on a quiet empty street. Basking in the warmth of the late afternoon sun. Lovely.
