About My mother made these Artesian dolls patterned after a old beer commercial. The Artesian would protect the water from the Artesian well. They were little hairy people. This is a male Artesian and she made some female ones too. The beard is made out of fancy fur and the body was pantyhose packed with cotton. When you lift their bear it exposed their idenity. She sold them for 5 dollars.
