Excellent delicate flowers but lovely and bright and sharp, against a great rich dark green background. Margaret

Well done shot, Peter. The detail is very good and your capture is perfect. I can only imagine how tiny those blossoms really are.

My mistake. I put the wrong name... OOPS!
Pentas lanceolata (Forssk.) Deflers Common Name: Star Cluster, Egyptian Star Cluster Family: Rubiaceae Juss.
Country of Origin: eastern tropical Africa to southern Arabia Africa is the original home of Pentas lanceolata. Dark-green, lance-shaped, somewhat furry and deeply veined leaves provide a lush backdrop for prolific clusters of five-petaled flowers. These may be purple, lavender, red, white, pink or shades in between. Flowers, which appear spring through autumn, are held in terminal clusters and self-deadhead. They're attractive to butterflies, and the red and dark-pink varieties draw hummingbirds.
Thanks for setting me straight... Your friend Peter
