Excellent glassy world!!! I can say almost an abstract...alien world of the far far future!!! Amazing contrast between shadowed and lighted parts - sides, excellent line composition my friend!

Dave, what you say about 'the situation surrounding the photograph' is so true. I've replied to a suggestion re my 'From Greenlees Farm' pic from Phil McLean (he's my son, so I expect him to give me a hard time!) about how that turned out the way it did, you may be interested to see that.

Thanks for all your comments, Adrian! I agree with you about our individual viewpoints on our photos. Each one is very personal, and while the technical details can be commented on, sometimes the viewer has no idea of the situation surrounding the photograph, the personal viewpoint of the photographer, or the conditions under which it was taken, these all have a bearing on how it comes out. Thanks for taking the time to think about this! Dave.

Been thinking more about this image, Dave, whether it is a bit 'light' (as I previously said). Possibly, but if you made it darker, it would be a different image! One of the nice things about it as presented, is the airy feel - this would be weakened if the shot was darker. It's the airiness that has helped folk to see angels (as well as angles!) in the pic. Sometimes I think there's a sort of 'establishment' view about what makes a good photo, perpetuated in magazines, camera clubs, pictorial competitions, it's almost like a 'tick box' mentality of what has to be in, what musn't be in etc. As they say, rules are for the obedience of fools, but for the guidance of wise men. It's good to know what sells, but sticking to your own vision is important. I'm thinking these things, because of the reactions (or lack of them) to some of my pics. Sometimes, folk seem to miss the point!

brilliant weather and time of the day to shoot a picture like this one... But exposure and saturation might need a touch of image editing

Dave, I think this is touch over-exposed (not under-exposed!); I reckon darkening it down would improve the sky, and make the overall effect a bit more dramatic

This has been abstracted from its surroundings in such a way that it suggests something like "city of the future" or the like. Also, the limited color pallete focusses attention. My only suggestion, from years of trying to please architects, would be to straighten the verticals to allign with the edges of the frame. If you have PS this can be done easily with no strain.

Exactly as it says in the caption: clowds and angles, excellently captured by you, Dave. Sorry about your e mail. Perhaps you got the address wrong, because my inbox is large enough to accept even "heavy e mails. My address is rafael1930@bezeqint.net The way I do it is paint the address, copy it, create mail and paste the address in the address line. So far it's always worked for me. Thank you for your friendly comment on my "Fiddler asleep 2". Best regards, Rafi

This is really great Dave, carring the sky through the building, the reflections are beautiful and the building a great design, and I think I see an angel or two in the top windows. Thank you for the congrats on the featured donor, that was a nice surprise. Alison
