I can also hear the scream for water you captured so well in this photo, Munch or no Munch. Living in a country that is dry most of the year (today we had the first real rain of this year) I know the scream for water and if you look through my protfolio, Lukasz, you can see how obsessed I am sometimes with dried plants, some waiting for the next rain, for others the next rain will already be to late. Thank you for your kind words about my "Triple exposure". Best regards despite everything, Rafi

The grasping devouring texture of the sand is excellent. The closest piece of wood almost has a shiny metal quality.

Lovely composition .. but i don't like the blue "shine" in the wood here, that makes it lose the wood feeling and makes it tend towards metal .. Regards, Peter

Hi Lukasz, I would've opted for a slightly shallower DOF, but the metaphore in the message expressed by the Scream is evident, I'd say. The textures, and the ambiguity is very strong here; with the composition leading the eye slightly to the right. Another strong methaphore: In most choices, the solution is simple, as long as you keep an open mind and look for the simplicity of the issue at hand. Good and somewhat gloomy tones. Not sure what the background behind the last stick holds, but a lower perspective would also have worked, I think; maybe even emphasising the perspective and the curve to the right. Very intriguing shot.
Cheers,
Hugo

Very good Lukasz, I do see the lines you are talking about! How interesting, and it just came into your mind like that!
I knew about the painting, but had not really read any 'story' about it. So it was interesting to read your 'about'!
I like your photograph WAY BETTER than the painting. Lori :)
