It is my pleasure for me to share few little tricks I know. Regarding the eefect done in this picture is very simple. If you use PS CS,After opening your image, go to filter/Texturizer/ select canvas/abd play around with the values there.
let me know if it works.

I really like the colors in this image and the clarity. Normally, I would like a little more DOF to fuzz out the background. But, this texture you have added really makes it stand out and is great. I would love to know how you have done that. Nice work. One of my favorits and I am adding as such. Thanks

I took some shot at sunrise with my Nikon this morning. I will post Colors look great.
