About it's not a very good infrared picture I suppose :) I am just amazed how lazy the cows here in Suisse, that I joked I could take photo of them in infrared, as they would not move in 30 seconds. so I just proved my joke :D

Halo Patrick, about the IR shot, it depends on what camera you use. I see that for Sony or Nikon, they are the best for IR shot, as for Canon, like mine, I need longer shutter speed. but for canon serie G, they are quite OK for IR too.
Usually I use ISO 100 or 200, I try to avoid higher ISO as they will become grainy. the aperture, I try to use between f/9 or f/11 to get more sharp.
I felt that with IR there are lots of trial and errors needed
about the focus, since Hoya R72 is really dark, I have to take the filter off, focus the shot, put the infrared filter on, then take the picture

cheers,
cessy

I recently got a Hoya R72 filter for to use on a lens (telephoto and the kit lens). What is your workflow process for taking a picture with it? Do you have the filter off, focus the shot, put the infrared filter on, then take the picture?

What aperature do you usually use, and what ISO? Thanks.

These look so weird. I love the little purple treetops floating in the darkness. Which Cokin filter did you use? I looked for one but couldn't find anything.

thanks Zeev, I finally be able to use the cokin filter now, before so much flares coz many rays coming through, so I cut the holder and put the filter with scotch , so no flares coming in, will post it soon. cheers, cessy
