Thanks to a friend, we could have a shooting on the 33th floor of the Europ Center, a 100m high skyscraper (the only one) in the center of Ostend. Problem is that all apartments are private, and that the restaurant on top has been closed for years.. so i came accross this friend who has the key to the top floor apartment .. balcony's on both sides provided almost 360? view ..
Only counterpoint was the bad weather (misty and gray), so half of the photo's were unsharp.. still i managed to get out some good shots, like this one: a view south on Ostend town, the Event Palace on the left as eyecatcher, in the background the harbour (left), St-Peter & Paul cathedral and the municipal park.
Hi Peter, apart from the vanishing point, almost intersecting the vertical centerline of the image, the perspective is awesome, and I do like the top down view and colour depth in this shot. The composition, because of the placement of the vanishing point is a bit static, I think, but other than that a beautiful shot. The tones, and various points of interest, as well as the view on the Ostend city plan are very well captured.
