Hermen, prachtig verhaal Mooi dat ik je van dienst kon zijn Weet je wij Gea mijn vrouw en ik zijn in 1969 getrouwd en toen was onze eerste woonplats Noorhorn. Het heeft maar even geduurd,half jaar ,wij woonden toen aan de Friese Straatweg bedankt voor je uitleg en als je nog ander foto,s wilt zien dan hoor ik het graag. groet Teunis

Hallo Teunis, ik heb in dit huis gewoond van 1977 to 1982, samen met mijn ouders en mijn broer. Het huis was toen net helemaal gerestaureerd. De molen was in die tijd behoorlijk vervallen. Ik kan me nog herinneren dat er op een nacht tijdens een storm een groot stuk van een wiek afgewaaid is. Daarna is er er een comité opgericht met als doel de molen te restaureren en weer in gebruik te nemen. Uiteindelijk is dat gelukt, maar toen waren wij alweer verhuisd. De molen ziet er weer mooi uit, zo te zien is het houten bovenstuk grotendeels vernieuwd. Voor de rest ziet er nog bijna hetzelfde uit als vroeger, alleen stonden er toen nog geen bomen voor het huis. Het pad naar de molen met de paaltjes ervoor is ook nieuw. Erg leuk om ons oude huis in Noordhorn zo nog eens terug te zien! Je had al eens eerder een foto van een huis wat hier op leek, en toen dacht ik ook ons oude huis te zien... Maar nu is het echt zo :-)

Hi Teunis, I remember this scene... I have lived in the house on the right for five years, when I was a child. The mill looks much better now after its restoration!

Dat was lang geleden!!!!! Ik dacht dat je alle molens van Nederland had gefotografeerd en dat je nooit meer een foto van een molen zou posten. Ik heb me vergist en...... gelukkig maar want de molen zijn jouw specialiteit en de mooiste zijn altijd van jou! Deze in Noordhorn is een schoonheid en de naam pas er perfekt bij. Richard, thanks fro comments Only in my provinc groningen we have 84 Mills. Corn,Saw.Oil and watermills The most are museum.but only worked for water by very high water ,there are only cornmill .All the mills have oen of more Miller. they have there for an education and are volunteer. The Mills worked for tourist and volunteer every week one day Teunis

Nice Teunis, I think this is one of the few I've seen that is right by a couple of buildings, usually they are kind of alone.
I also like the textures in this image. The architecture is very unique (to me anyway) The building on the right, how it goes up to a point, then is rounded on the top, I'm trying to figure out what it is, maybe a chimney? (probably not, but don't laugh) :) Lori :)
