The grain helps the picture as it draws attention into the central focus of the shot.

thanks Roberto - I luckily have all the lines and intersects on my focus screen ;-) makes me feel a little bit of a cheat!!

thankyou for your kind words Sergio - I do like the rotation style blur of the linked image :-)

Amanda Radovic   {K:3609} 11/10/2004
thanks Ian - I had to up the contrast as the whole thing was all green - not much natural contrast!! Thanks to the lighting I could get away with it somewhat. Ta for stopping by.

it does look prickly and yet it is actually soft little leaves, perhaps its the bw that gives it that effect! Yes - you saw it as I did, a fossil kind of look - glad I'm not the only one ;-)

Thanks Amanda, I do agree with you but the whole area was green so the only contrast I could get was the light!

Loving that grain. Wish there was a little more contrast and light to seperate the frond from the background, but that is minor.

What a great image, it looks like fossils embedded in the handle of an old cane walking stick. [except the shot is so sharp, it looks a bit prickly to be holding on to] really excellent

Thankyou Jim, this is so not my genre!! your comment makes me feel better about it. I was hoping to keep the fern leaves in the background in enough focus that you could identify them, otherwise the frond looked really strange and alienlike!!
