thank you Hugo! You are so eloquent to express subltle comments in an polite and delicate way that you are an asset to usefilm, it is great to have your comments around! The original image is like this in B&W if you add some pale blue. Intersting enough but I would not resist the temptation of distortion......

Hi Mary, The rework makes me curious what the original one looks like. As to the power and atmosphere, it's definately equal to the first. But I find the composition a little less eloquent. Mainly because of the reduced number of objects in the foreground, although the tilt is an improvement. Excellent grain, too.
Cheers,
Hguo

I think I like this one better, you can see the tower better but there is still enough darkness to keep with the ghostly feel. Love the color also, nice one~

Dear Ferdinand.. hmmm
The man, whose identity is not revealed, is seen to leave his wrecked body and fly through the tower. He was a ghost in a man's soul. As soon as he accepted there is beauty that attracted him there it was the same time that he accepted his nature and stopped being a dead man trying to live in a body without a soul, so he joined the land of ghosts. It was not so bad for him after all. He used to live in West Ghostowerland and this made things difficult. Ghost have to do some scary thing there, in East Ghostowerland ghosts are more artistic, they care about the aesthetics of terror only. Ghosts of artists go there!
Thank you for the inspiration, I just imagined the rest of the story, the 2 previous parts were also a brainstorming! A kiss!

Hi Mary - great composition, and interesting context in your story. Now I'd like to hear the whole imagined story - can you tell it to me?

thank you Ian, I am glad the image had this impact on you, this was what I want to depict, and what I felt when I saw the tower to emerge from the mist. Of course I made it look more haunted. It is a building of the telephone company, imagination added of course. When I first saw it, it was like the tower appeared from nowhere. Hidden in dark clouds.

I like how you've taken a piece of modern architecture and given it a primeaval feel, like some huge dinosaur or alien emerging from the red mist. The sihouetted branches contrast superbly with the tower allowing it to appear even more mysterious. Great work Mary.
