Yes, that looks better. YOu can see the back flower but the concentration is on the fore flower.

Okay, I should have phrased that better. I haven't got time to do it now, but if you crop some of the large flower off, so it is more of a background blur than anything and make the smaller flower the subject at hand but off centre, I think you will find a big difference.

I used AF on this, wasn't conscious of one being more in/out than the other, till I viewed them. I didn't center them, as I think of the third rule. Which would you have centered MF??

I like the DOF on this one. Makes the foreground flower stand out. Although the centreing of this beautiful flower should stand out more.
