Alison,

Very nice photo and great lighting...I like the shadows...my only recomendation on this photo would have been to get a little lower on your angle...it would have made the image a little stronger, but you do have nice leading lines.

Best Wishes,
Chuck

Another sad fact of wars you have captured here Alison. Cheers my friend.

"War is like a big machine that no one really knows how to run and when it gets out of control it ends up destroying the things you thought you were fighting for, and a lot of other things you kind forgot you had."

Great shot! Great sadness!
Where I live there was the front during the I WW. After 90 years we can find still bones in the mountains.
I completely agree with what Bertrand Russell and Havelock Ellis say.
The war must become a taboo all over the world.
Let us remember also those civilians reported killed by military intervention in Iraq Min 14378 Max 16514. (www.iraqbodycount.net)

I agree with you Khaled, to many innocents around the world, regardless of their countries or political position, should be honored for their losses, and their feelings. I put these pictures on as here in the USA, we just had Veterans Day, a day in which we honor, the soldiers who gave their lives in all the wars. Alison

Very good photo Alison!
The lighting is perfect and the flags give this scene alot of color! The image is actually very sad, making Me think of the many lives lost fighting for freedom! And I agree with Terry about praying for Our soldiers! They need them (prayers)desperately!!
Well done My Friend!

Wonderful composition and exposure Alison.
Poor families (parents, wives and children) of these soldiers, they had nothing to do with these ambitious "Crusades" like president Bush once said.
We should also remember the poor Palestenians whom are being killed daily by the Israili's army...and their late Leader "Arafat" who died few days ago from a strange and unknown disease!
Good work Alison,
Regards,
Khaled.

"It is foolish and wrong to mourn the men who died. Rather we should thank God that such men lived." -George S. Patton, Jr.

Nicely composed and executed image which I think speaks a little differently to me than perhaps it does to you.

Beautiful composition and colors. The lighting was lovely on this and the other photo. It always touches my heart to see these places where so many are buried together, that served the same cause. Very emotional. Very well done, Alison.

This is a very emotive image! There are too many graves, of too many young men, who have died in service of this country.
