Icerock,
Thanks for this - had read somewhere that the 10D was tempremental at low temperatures. I have used a mechanical rangefinder with no problems at -20 (friend's SLR was not functioning), but this inspires me to get out an go digital.
It was -17 up the mountains near where I live so I won't have to go far to experiment.

You well know of the recent conference in your home town... your capture as superb as it is... is a clear contradiction to what was discussed...
The year is 2070 and palm trees start to appear... should be live so long!

With sunsets and ice like this I wish I could get out there to shoot. Good work here both with the composition and the eye for for such vivid lighting.

Ice..... i just have to ask..... where on earth exactly do you live??? i know your in iceland, but do you 'live' in these freezing cold conditions or do you visit there???? Just asking as the last three days we have had 35-37 degrees ( i think australia is farenheit) and it's bloody hot.... i look at your magnificent photos and feel sorry for you in the freezing cold. How doesn't your hand get 'stuck' to the camera?? Keep on shooting... i love your photos, and enjoy getting up every morning to see what you have uploaded. Cheers mate, Kel

I have a theory on global warming. Those of you who live closer to the polar regions will enter a new Ice Age. Those of us closer to the equator are gonna roast! lol This is a very surreal landscape. I looks COLD!

Amazing! looks like the waves on the water were frozen in an instant, before they had time to settle. Very interesting patterns and light. This may be one advantage of digital: mechanical cameras can malfunction in such cold temperatures!
Omar Thanks for looking, digital has all advantage over film too day, but there are few how do not know it :)
