Thanks alot moon , the best thing then is to vist both the grandstores to see and use the Nikon and also the national stores to see the Canon. Let them teach you how to use it in details, and try it by yourself and it is ok if you stayed in the shop for hours lol! then see which one you like more and go for it. But please do not buy any extra lens untill you learn how to use the camera.

Hi moon...no worries we are here to help each others, I have several question:
1. Have you ever used an SLR camera? cuz it is different than other type of camers, your choice will depend on your experience, budget and for what you are going to you it. Honestly, when I first bought my canon I did not knnow any thing about it, with the help of my friends here and reading loads of information I can use it now but not to the full limit.There are other new canon camera (I do not want to confuse you) which are better than mine, more features (If knew before I would have bought it) even the canon they have better camera than the D70. My friend is using the D70, she is very happy with it. Both brands are Excellent!

Hi moon,
Both canon and nikon are great, I can not tell you which is better. Personally, I am happy with my 300D as my first SLR there are so many things on I still need to learn am using it from nearly a year. I will give you an excellent link you can compare and read about all SLR and read reviews too.

Hi Amna, Beautiful shot; very impressive cloudscape. I'd only crop off a bit off the left side of the image, to place the bird more off centered (horizontally) Other than that, it's a brilliant atmosphere of freedom. Very good shot!
