We had left Manaus, Brazil (the largest city on the Amazon. Even has a beautiful Opera house right in the middle of the jungle) and after a few hours on the river got off the boat near a lot of rubber trees. As we walked into the jungle I noticed this little Brazilian indian girl in the window, staring down at us, so I put my camera up quickly to my eye and got off a couple shots. She just stayed there for a while and kinda posed. A great experience- one of my favorite shots from my "oldies" files. Another great country with so much to see. Used to be able to fly all around on a very inexpensive Varig "airpass". Varig's a great airline if you like to test your stress limits - the pilots take off like they're driving an Italian Sports car - nothing but FUN. No PS used. Scanned off an 8x10 print on an Epson Flatbed.
Gran composición! el angulo de la foto es muy bueno, dan una sensación de inestabilidad que generan tensiones interesantes dentro de la foto, además de la aparición de la niña, completan el contexto.
Ya, let's hope there's no oil reserves under her "condo". Than the "Bush Gang" will want to "bring democracy" to the people of the Amazon (um, I forget, that's why we're in Iraq, right? ...Democracy for the people - "peace through violence" - great concept !. O.K. Got it....that's what I thought cause I know "W" and Cheney would NEVER lie. Dang, thems just some average fellows you cans haves a beers wit)
