About I thought this looked pretty good. The reflection of the clouds in the water around the bench have the water almost looking like it's boiling.

A few folks say my pics are a little saturated, so I have uploaded this one with basically no work with the exception of setting my shadow and highlight points. The photo definately lacks zing. It looks dull. There is no way to increase the contrast without adding saturation. Spo, the debate.....which way is best. You all tell me, I'm just learning.

Yeah James- this is great as you have adjusted it!! To me, the color saturation looks very good, and most importantly - natural. IThat means alot to me - making adjustments, but keeping the photo natural to it's original scene and lighting conditions.

Regards,
Chris

Well I would say you have done well my friend. I love your work and I wouldn't worry too much about the saturation.

Great scene, James.
I'm just wondering if you've tried increasing the contrast and then DEcreasing the saturation a little? It might be worth a try.
Best regards, Chris

James, there is nothing dull about this shot. The color is fantastic and just right. The image is truly incredible. Great job just the way it is.

The colour looks fine to me Jim! In the program I use (Photofiltre), the contrast and saturation are two separate contols, although of course they are interelated.
You certainly get your share of great sunrise/sunsets in your area! Glad you're taking advantage of them!
Dave.

Well James, that zing thing isn't all it's cracked up to be. If you like it that's all that matters. I think it's a great peaceful capture. As Brenda said, very nice colors. T
