About Hughlets Point though laden with a lot of dead tree's and hurricane destruction is actually a very beautiful place in many ways. Some of that beauty I have tried to capture here and I am not satisfied with the result. One of the most beautiful parts is the way the morning light shines on the tree roots at low tide. One of these days I will get a shot that will truely display the beauty I see.

Yes Aurobindo it would be possible. But I'm sure it would take some practice getting the right shots and doing the sewing in PS. There is someone on usefilm and I can't think of his name right off. That does a lot of stiching and sewing in PS.

Thanks James for your answer. If the sun was far away, what about taking two different picture and stich them fading the overlying areas in PS? I am novice in PS, but just interested to know if thats at all possible?

Thanks
Aurobindo

Thanks, yes I did use a wide angle 20 mm. But of course with the digital; factor that makes it about 30 mm. The sun is really to far away for this particular tree and roots but you gave me a good idea. Thanks,

Jim

Awsome. Perfect exposure to show details of mud, branches as well as the sky. Just a thirst is left - the rising or sinking sun. IMHO, I think the picture misses the sun in the left side. I don't know the situation or time in which you took this photograph, but I feel that using bit wider focus to get the sun and the branches in the rule of thirds would have made this pic perfect. Did you think of using a WA lens?

Thnaks for sharing such a nice photograph. Good work

Thanks

Aurobindo

Thanks Dave, I was thinking of using a bigger lens but then you lose the beauty of the landscape. But it is the roots that need more detail. I will figure it out:)

Jim, you've caught the detail in the tangled roots very well, and the beautiful calm water. I like how the spot of colour from the rising sun is reflected on the tree trunks across the image. Beauty is where you find it!
Dave.
