agree with you Piotr; in original there is some more space at the bottom and right part of the shot, but unfortunately there is also vinetting from the polarizer filter - I decided to crop this because it distracted the view;
thanks for your comments;
regards
Lukasz

I like everything here but composing the image I'd add a bit more space at the lower part and maybe a bit, just a bit, from the right.
Great work.

Piotrek

Hi Lukasz, First, allow me to state clearly that this is a delightful photo, before I start nitpicking on only a trivial issue...

The thing that disturbs me a bit is the unblance in the composition, introduced by the tight composition of the grass and the lower edge of the photo. IMO, it closes the composition, which does not quite fit with the atmospher (arguably).

The toning and the use of DOF is outstanding, though. The two patches of grass create a nice imaginary leading line, crossing the predominant angle line between dune and sky. It's what makes this image more dynamic. Very well captured....

If only it had a bit more space underneath the foremost patch of grass....;o)

Cheers,

Hugo

This is lovely, Lukasz. The drama is all in the simplicity of line and tone. The sepia is appealing. I'm interested to know how the background is so dark as compared to the foreground, given there was no adjustment and this appears to be from nature, rather than in the studio. Thanks for your comment on my "Youth". :) Toni

Hi Lukasz,

don't get bored =)

Like the repetition of the grass here. and the gradients in the sky. the slight grain is the only detail which I probably would work on.

good one.

take care,
thilo

in my opinion some more free space is needed on the right side and on the bottom. nice, simple session.

Minimalisim is the word. The stronger foreground grasses echoed by the hint of a more expansive scape, in the out of focus background, gives this image a nice three dimensional feel. Nice work Lukasz. One never gets bored with quality. Regards John
