About You'll be glad to hear that my tablets have worked and I'm now back to my normal, sane, quiet, miserable self! :oI

Having produced the penguin 'whimsy' from 37 different pictures I thought I'd try something a little more ambitious and see if I could take the number of layers into three figures. Alas, I fell short?

?by a mere 99!

Have a good Sunday!

Best regards to all,

Chris

;o)

P.S. You DID realise I was kidding about the 37 different pictures, didn't you?!!! :o))

I'm amazed you 'kidding us' about 37 layers. I think this is stunning, the light through the leaves - just glorious.
Margaret
PS do stop taking the tablets, if it makes you sane, sensible and 'normal'

I hadn't seen the original, Chris. It's still a bit unsettling (it niggled Keith, too, I see), but if that's how it came out of the camera then it MUST be natural. I mean, the camera never lies, right? (Right!!??!?)

Thanks for your comment, Roger.
Did you see the original?
That was how it came out of the camera!
How it happened I really don't know!
I usually use the camera on aperture priority so I don't think the flash would have fired as it might have done if set to auto. It's a mystery, but I like the outcome.
Best regards, Chris

I'm glad to hear your're back on your prescription again and trust you are feeling LOTS better. This picture is rather unsettling. The pattern of light through the leaves is beautiful but we have that flat black sea sweeping up from the lower right. It just doesn't look natural. (Well, I guess it isn't, but I mean it looks as if it COULDN'T happen, not just DIDN'T.)

Beautiful light coming through the leaves, Chris! Looks great against the dark background, they just seem to glow.

NIce Chris, I like the original too. Reminds me of one I took last Spring, of the backside of some Dogwoods.

Thanks for the comment, Keith.
To be really honest, I'm not entirely sure how I achieved such a dark background except that, somewhere down the line, I tweaked the contrast levels a bit in PS. Here's the original for your interest ~ straight out of the camera.
Kind regards, Chris

Hi Chris,

This has a light quality about it which reminds me of a stained glass window, especially in that middle section. How did you manage to get the black background, or is that your PS artistery and magic again ?

Thanks, Neil!!
Actually, of course, even the frame could have been added on the same layer ~ though, in this case, it wasn't!
Kind regards, Chris

What you were kidding? Whilst leafing through this picture i counted only one, as you did. Not counting the Framing of course. Just shows what can be done with a D70 and just one layer :)

Best wishes Neil
