Just count me in the echos. ;) I too like the coloring and dof. The thing I like MOST is contrary to another, though. I love that the child is not interested in the card. It just exemplifies her stage in life! 1st birthdays are SO fun for the loving adults in their life, but the wee ones couldn't care less. ;)

A very pleasing shot !! Good use of selective colouring.
Perhaps one thing missing here is the child looking in the direction of the card, now she (?) seems rather absent/uninterested.
