I really like the idea behind this, but I also think the right hand vertical line with the much deeper tones distracts. Great where you are going with this though.

I like the mood and the idea behind this picture.
What distracts me is the vertical interruption like a cut and paste on the right...
I'd like to see the original version without this deep retouching.
