altered, but fine the same. I see your eye, I think to penetrate your brain, since this eye is live ,live. but who are you really? what are you? which are you? I think that if one knows you well, life is not ever as before. sorry to be too far ( in km) to be sure of it.

Thank you Hugo, I missed you a bit! I like the blending of hair with the background in the second image but I do not like it so much as a whole as I cannot be identified with the feeling of the image, it is not me I feel, while the first is more new-romantic and mysterious! Just a personal interpretation, as i am so selfish (laughs)I must write a comment too!!

Hi Mary, My appologies for maintaining such a long period of silence.... I really like what you done to this self(ish) portrait, and I love the pun in your about... Aren't we all a bit selfish?
Scrolling down, I noticed your second version, which I believe is even stronger, as your hair blends in better with the background. That creates a more harmonious image, I think. Very creative!
Cheers,
hugo

A very fine portrait indeed. The strong stylized lines work very well with the texture treatement (for lack of a better word) of this image. I am certain that the original is very good too.

The editing has created a wonderful portrait - the dark left side contrasting with the bright other side. We all have secrets; it's what makes us interesting. BTW, I'd love to see the original photo.

Both Bill Brandt and Picasso would have approved of this one. Whatever you did with this, try it with a figure and see if you can "Cube' it.

Picasso-esque. Definite has an illustrative look and feel to it. High grain for effect, and very high contrast.
