Thanks for your comments; this is almost the 'magic light' but I used a polarizer filter to help. I think it was tripod mounted too; either Provia 100 or Velvia 100.
Sorry, i take so many pictures that I don't remember the details.

Nice composition, Walt. I really like the deep saturated colors.

Thanks for your comments. The sun was going down so I had to sacrifice the foreground, to get the sun on the buildings at the back.

If I had gotten the foreground, the warm light at the back wouldn't have been so nice.

I hope to go back to Seattle; it's only an hour drive. The best thing is to be in place and shoot the scene continously, so that I will get the sun and shadows, and the "magic light" in different positions.

In this area there are so many possibilities for great shots, that one can go down and and shoot, and wind up with many great images, of many people, places, and things.

This shot was helped by a polarizer filter. But I saw where the sun was heading, and rushed to get in place; since i have a good idea of what Seattle looks like, i knew where to go.

BTW, it's beeen raining now for the last week; cold strong winds or heavy clouds.

Come on Springtime!

The sky is so blue in this shot. I thought it only rained in Seattle! I like the dark foreground as the shadows and lines really stand out. Nice shot.

Great city scape shot with great lighting on the building and excellent DOF. It's too bad the foreground is all dark, maybe a different time of the day would makes this beautiful shot an excellent one. Keep up the good work.
