Wonderful bright pod. You can feel the warmth of the sun even in this late autumn or early winter picture. And I love the title. You are so clever.

The pod was about the size of a large walnut. Thank's for the suggestion Dirck, I got the photo magazine today, thank's. Alison

Very good macro of the seed pod! Colors, light and details are good. DOF is perfect to show the shape of the pod off.

Magnificent colors, details, dof.. This is gorgeous! Isn't it funny how the things we would normally walk by and not even look, can come to life in a good photo. That's what makes me love it so.

I love the muted colors in this, Alison - very chilly feeling, but warmed by the sun on the seed pod! The soft, blurry background works really well to further highlight the pod. Maybe a little crop off the top to remove the little piece of bright sky and the houses? How big is the pod? It looks like it would make a neat decoration indoors, too!
