Until I read the "about" I thought this might be a snow scene, and a reference to the North Pole. The exposure is (as always) just perfect. You and Velvia 50 slide film were made for each other! Beautiful image, and yes, the pole is essential to this composition.

Poles apart (I mean jokes apart!). This Pole in the Polar lanscape has created a Polar atmosphere. There can be no bipolar opinion about that. By the way did ya use any Polarizing filter? :)
