Well, Danny. I never saw it before, so I figure it's fair for me to comment. I have been with UF just a few months. This is wonderful--depicts the mood so well, the sky is great and the man's yellow raincoat shows he is ready to handle what comes his way. Super.

Congrats Danny!
When I first saw the thumbnail of this photo I thought it was a photo of a tibetan monk. It still looks very much so.
Excellent contrast in the yellow to grayscale of the sky.
Regards,
Ben

Hi Danny,

Such a powerful photograph this is~! I can see why it is your favorite.

The contrast between the darks in the sky and bright yellow really is a 'head turner'!
But it's the rays of light reaching to the ground are just awesome.

What a great moment this was, and you caught it.

Excellent!
Lori :)

I think the brightness of the yellow helps to dramatize the anger in the clouds, and how both figures stand higher than (or over) us helps to provide scale to the storm versus the viewer. Very well done.

I thought I had already commented on this one... It's a repost? Oops, just read your comment about that --- and will totally ignore it, commenting again.

Well, go figure! This one got an SC award. And it is well deserved, Danny. Good work with the selective colouring.

This is a wonderful image. The only thing I would have done is to erase that bush on the right: it breaks the geometric harmony of the image.
