You can see long lines of figures and animals on the gable ends of roofs all over Beijing. They are supposed to protect the house ? the more animals the better the protection. This picture was taken in the Forbidden City and focuses on the last figure of a longer procession.

Thank you for your comments, Reza. The Tamron 500mm is a mirror lens. The Tamron 500mm is a mirror lens. I get this "background shakiness" whenever background elements are out of the DOF of the fixed f8.0. Not sure is the lens needs to be checked or if this is a normal behavior of a mirror lens.
The colors are excellent. Is the shakiness in the background used for effect? It rubbed off a little on the protrusion on the top of the animal's head. Sounds like a great trip.
