Great images of this tree and they are both wonderful on their own. I like your idea but i am not sure how well it works as the tones of both images are different and I cant deside if it works or not. Never the less great images and idea i like it.

That's a really beautiful tree; I am torn between the two images. I like the contrast of the tree against the sky in the right one, but I like the colors and the round shape of the tree in the left one. The cliffs in the left one are also very nice, but the tree is hard to see against them. They are both wonderful shots.
