maggie, i think the reason there is so much DOF is because i was at a fairly wide angle, probably around 35-50mm, but i cropped it tighter in photoshop, so that might be an expanation, thanks alot for the help

Real good catch on this one Joseph and the composition works very well. But... I'm wondering if you were focused at the right spot. With 1/250 and 4.5 I would think the biker would be more in focus and the background more out of focus. Hmmmm....hoping one of our action photographers can give you some tips on this one..I dont do this kind of stuff so I am only guessing.

All I know is ... I would like to see less DOF and the biker nice and sharp. Try more of these.... practice makes perfect *smile*...Maggie
