My son eating a Vanilla Wafer and coloring. Natural light, converted to b&w, clarified and sharpened areas. Camera set to aperture priority with f/3.5 (did I type that right?). Suggestions very welcome!
He has very beautiful eyes! As in your other shot the light is great.
If you have/use Photoshop try using the chanelmixer (set to monochrome) to do the B&W conversion. Gives you a lot of control with only three sliders.
And yes, you typed f/3.5 just right :) It is written that way because the aperture value is actually the relative fraction of the focal length. If you have a 35mm lens the aperture's size is 35/3.5 = 10 mm. On a 85 mm lens f/3.5 would be 24 mm. ... but you know what, don't worry about all that, just keep on taking photos 'cause you do that very well! :)
