The funny thing is Deb, this is the Newer Stuff. :-) That's a Mark Ross cover. and that's a John Bryne rewrite from the late 80's..if you ever strolling around a comic store, pick up Kingdom Come, that shook up things when it came out. Oh oh fanboy coming out. Thanks Deb.
Wow. This brings so many things to mind. This will sound wierd, but here goes:
First of all, this is Superman the way I remember him from "borrowing" my brothers' comics (hee hee). Not the newer stuff, not Christopher Reeve's movies, not the "Smallville" kiddie show where even Lex Luthor is somehow a good guy (puhleeze), but a guy so muscular and tough no one dared make fun of his formfitting blue suit and red slipper boots.
