About About 1895 two men were riding through Gila Bend, Arizona when they found the nude body of a man half buried in sand. Though he had been shot in the stomack every detail of his body was perfectly preserved in a state of natural dehydration, including the wound. They estimate his age was about 45 and weight of 225 pounds. The hot sand and dry desert air preserved decompostion but reduced his body weiht to 137 pounds. He is on display at Ye Olde Cursioty Shope in Seattle.
