you're absolutely right about the light...it didn't really occur to at the time, but I must disagree with you concerning the position of her hands...they might be a bit twisted, but it fits the character and the mood also...:)

The idea is fine... but the hand position looks rather ackward... especially the right...
I would place a sheet of fabric over your light source... to soften the effect... or better use a candle...
