About Subject background: Wide angle view from Roosevelt Island to Manhattan. Where does that bridge ends actually?

PS concept: Besides the restoration of the scan (Adjustment layer stuff), I tried to get a touch of weirdness in here. Result is that the part in the back including the bridge seem to look a bit unreal (and more like a matte painting from old films - hope you see what I mean). fine by me =)

As always: Honest feedback highly appreciated.

What a fantastic extreme wide angle Thilo!! I feel I'm going to fall back when I scroll up the image. There's a great feel of depth, super work my friend!

hi uwe,

vor allem analoge 14mm sind der hammer für großstädte... wenn es irgendwann mal 9mm für digital gibt (ohne fisheye), bin ich der erste, der zuschlägt.

Hi Corrie,

thanks for the constructive feedback. you're probably right with the clutter here. I was so impressed by the view, I oversaw the details in the front a bit =)

Hi Hugo,

maybe a bit too far. first title idea was more the Simon&Garfunkel direction (Bridge over troubled water) but that one was too easy. besides that, I don't see any troubled water =)

What a fantastic and very different view :-)

I love the perspective you have created - I think the 12mm lens is being passed around lol

Best wishes,
Steve

LOVE the composition, the image has great depth! The colors are superb as well. The only thing I would say is unfortunate, is the clutter in the foreground, but its something obviously beyond your control! You COULD crop the bottom half off where the clutter is...but you would loose the bridge's ending on the other side... i guess its a toss up. On your part though, you did really well!!

Hi Thilo!
very good photo, great capture and perspective,
an also unusual angle.. just the materials near the feet of the bridge are a bit disturbing.. but no escape from this :/
like this one a lot!
cheers

Great shot Thilo, and excellent perspective.... I love how the arch looks... It makes you wander what is high up... :)

I like what you made with the background... I looks like an anime picture... :) It is like going from reality to unreality... A bridge to the uncertain... Definetely and excellent title...

Cheers,

MaLuisa

It goes into my favorites... :)

Hi Thilo; from the Kinks to the movie theme back to music? (Referencing to "Under the boardwalk" combining music and film in the person of Bruce Willis? (maybe too far fetched...;))

The perspective can't get better than this. A very powerful shot. One for a wall to wall sized print, if you have a narrow but high room available...:)

Cheers,

Hugo
