Yeah, Neat Image goes a LONG way toward smoothing skin tones, doesn't it? You have to be careful with it or it can smooth things that should have detail...like the palms of your hands.
Easiest way to fix that is placed the filtered image on top of the original as a new layer, and then eras though to the parts you want to remain sharp. In this photos:
-palms
-tats
-edge of blouse on your skin
-spaghetti straps.
Make sense?
