wow Jan thank you so much for all the lovely comments. really very nice of you!!! hmmmm, I must think for a minute about the background in this. to me it is important to the fotograph. it is part of the story and part of this woman. I think perhaps it is also important to give this woman some space to move in the frame and hopefully the background helps achieve this space.

Really beautiful portrait, the colors are spot-on.... tho I find the artwork hanging in the background a bit distracting...still, a nice shot.
