Interesting installation. They say that if one looks at the Moon too long one will go mad - I guess that this is where the expression "Lunatick" comes from.

Very creative. Love the lower images of the moons and the series on top of the lights. The lights in the middle aren't far of being in the formation of the southern cross - well composed. Greg

Truly Stephan? Some one very close to me began that journey but claims he spent to much time waffling on about the beauty of the subject in his assignments. He is proud of this. Another star gazer. Of course! Plenty of transferrable concepts between that and just photography, yes? One of my most exciting places to be was Claton hill scotland with all those wee astronomical buildings gathered together by the great follie of their reconstruction of the acropolis. Charles Piazzi Smyth hung out there, the mystic astronomer egyptologist. mystics are amusing and that is a value that can't be quantified, hey?
I've been reading about Cooks voyage here to N.Z., financed to observe the transit of venus, but forgot all my astronomical terms. I guess the inspiration was that. I repeat mystics rol is to inspire and amuse. If you draw a line through the top of the Pyramid of Cheops it will reach the moon, if you point it in the correct way. :)

I see visual suggestions of the orbit in the rising moon near the bottom, and the series of reflections on top are also visually stimulating. Very fine idea overall. I was an astrophysicist in a past life, maybe that explains part of it - it has the feel of an organized approach, but ther is also a little bit of mysticism here.

trying to cast ascientific eye on the moment the full moon touches the minds in the asylum, whatever that does i have no idea, unless they know it is full, i believe just as much as you and me really Taran. Nice to hear from you. :)

I am not sure what you are trying to accomplish, but the technical elements of this composition far outweigh its visual prowess (not always a bad thing). Some photographs are pleasing to look at, some are pleasing for other reasons, in this case, you made me think. Congrats on some hard work, and the visualization you realized through it. I beleive your effort has paid off.
