Wow -- those bright yellow points of stamen almost look 3D the way they jump out from the dark purple. Great detail and color and the softer focus background in neutral browns works well.

Thanks for the nice comment. I shoot several photos of these flowers and the colors were so vivid. These were planted next to a old landscaping log. I thought the contrast was good. During this 3 block lunch walk in Austin, Texas I think I got about 80 usable shots. It's going to take a while to get them uploaded at 3 per day....
