the way the columns all fit together on the right side almost look like a very large asian style painting.

Takes my eyes into the frame--good use of columns and light & shade-u only needed a human fig to make this perfect.

Great framing and composition, Debarshi. The tonal range is superb, with those dense shadows in the foreground and the highlights on the columns and wall and midtones on the ceiling. Detail is very good. Good job!

Thanks a lot for your observations. After reading your comment I realised that the angle thing is correct. But to be honest when I took that shot I was only looking at the pillar as subjects of my photo.

Great angle. Why I'm saying this is that if you scroll the picture top to bottom u can almost feel a change of perspective. I wondered a little and found out the cause. This is because u shot at an agle that shows both the ceiling and the floor and when one is looking at the columns and ceilings he sees it in a different way than when he sees the columns and the floor. Cheers

Very nice perspective here, Debarshi! Great shadow and light play, as well! I can't decide which I like best, this one or the colour, they're equally good!
Thanks for your comments!
Dave.

I like this version much better than the original color version. The conversion to B/W suppresses a lot of the distracting bits of color change. and makes the shadows much more dramatic. The tones are very good and produce a painting-like effect.

Wow, this is stunning. The darkness and against the lightness of the poles being taken away by strong shadows. I like it. Very well done. It looks like my kind of place...mysterious!!
